Sleepy suspect snoozes on Barrie Walmart shelf until store closes

A sneaky, and apparently sleepy, suspect managed to hide himself behind merchandise in the south-end Barrie Walmart until the store closed.

Store employees believe the man nestled in for a snooze Sept. 8 before he stole about $4,500 in goods and left the store at about 1 a.m. Sept. 9.

He counted sheep on a shelf behind bedding in the housewares department.

Police have released a surveillance image from the store.

The suspect is described as:

Tall, thin, white, male

Entered the store wearing a green and yellow hat, a grey T-shirt with peach long sleeves, a black sweater over his shoulders, and black and white shoes.

Emerged from the shelving, wearing the black sweater with a large white logo on the front with the hood pulled up
